From Ilfracombe
Take the out of Ilfracombe (A361) via Mullacott Cross, passing landmarks such as
the Foxhunters pub and garage and the village of Knowle. After a total of approximately
7 miles you will come into the village of Braunton, as you you approach sign
you will see the Fire Station on your right hand side take the left hand turning
opposite into Church Street,then a sharp left into the St. Brannock's Rooms car park
(cream and green building with a wall and railing looking a bit like a School) Walk
up the street from there over the river bridge and you will find the gates to the
Churchyard. Go up the path and round to the front south porch* through the half glazed
doors push open the large oak door in front of you, you are here,Welcome!
From Barnstaple
Take the Ilfracombe road out of Barnstaple (A361) and after approximately four miles
you will enter the village of Braunton. Keeping to the same road drive through the
village centre and after the traffic lights keep looking to your left when you see
the Fire Station take the right hand turning into Church Street, then a sharp left
into the St. Brannock’s Room’s car park (cream and green building with a wall and
railing, looking a bit like a School). Walk on up the street from there, over the
river bridge and you will find the gates to the Churchyard. Go up the path and round
to the front south porch* through the half glazed doors push the open large oak door
in front of you, you are here,Welcome!
*For some services such as funerals, and in the heat of summer we open the west door,that’s
the first door that you see along the churchyard path.This will normally be obvious
as the half timbered gates of that porch will be open.
