What’s the next Step?
Well you have managed to get to this section well done. So what do you think about
giving Jesus a go? It is quite easy to do the next bit. Simply ask Jesus for forgiveness
for the things that you have done wrong and ask him to come into your life.
The bible says that if we confess our sins God is faithful and just and will forgive
us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)
You can do this now
wherever you are and what ever the time is. Make the decision to do it and simply
pray the following prayer.
Jesus I am sorry for the things that I have done wrong. I thank you that you died on a cross for me. I am willing to turn away from anything that displeases you in my life and from this day on I want to live my life your way. I invite you
to come into my life now and make me a brand new person. Thank you Jesus.
And that is it. God has now made you a brand new person
Having prayed this prayer you may already feel a new peace in your heart. That’s God showing you that He’s come in.
Even if you don’t feel anything now, keep believing that God has answered your prayer
and very soon you will notice that things are different inside.
God also has given
you 2 gifts. Firstly the gift of Gods spirit and secondly the gift of eternal life. Now
you have made the big step of giving your life to Jesus
it is important that you grow. Well, How do I do that? Just as a baby drinks
and eats to grow so we to as Christians need to feed spiritually.
We do this is three ways:-
1. By Reading the Bible.
2. By Praying and listening to
God.
3. By meeting with other Christians.
1. Reading The Bible
Get hold of a bible. It is probably a good idea to get a modern
translation as it
is easier to understand. It is best to set a regular time during the day to read
the bible. Do not try to read loads at once, a little and often is the best way spend 10 or 15 minutes to start with.
2. Praying and Listening to God
Just like in our earthly relationships we get to
know people by spending time with them. If we want to get to know about God and Jesus
we need to spend
time with them.Talk to God about the day you have had and any problems that
you are experiencing. God is interested in every detail of your life and don’t forget to praise and thank God for who he is and also for the great things
around us.
Talk to God as if you were talking to your best friend because that is what you now
have A friend who will stick by you through and through. Spend about 5-
3. Meeting Other Christians
It is important
that you find time to meet with other Christians, it is by listening and talking
to other Christians that helps us grow.Find a church that you feel happy in. It may
mean you hunting round a couple of churches before you find
one that you are comfortable with.
Good decision
Well, that’s about it,thank you
for visiting our site. When you become a Christian we here at St.B’s would like to
be the first to welcome you into the Family of Christ assuring you that you have
made.............................................
The best decision of your life
We can’t promise you that your life will be a bed of roses, but we can assure you
that God will help you with the problems of life. It is also good to know that when
we finally die we will go to be with God in Heaven. The bible talks about a great
banquet up there. We can’t wait!
Look forward to seeing you there!
