The Challenge
The common misconception is that the church is rich. The Church of
England receives no funding from the State and relies entirely on its members to
fund it.
We have to fund all expenses for the parish including staff salaries, mission,
music, children’s work, outreach and our allocation of the Fairer Shares scheme helping
poorer parishes in less well off parts of Devon.
What can you do?
We need to increase
our income dramatically by £30,000 p.a. (that's £2,500 per month) in order to cover
our expenses and continue our ministry at the present level.
Only 1 in 4 of our congregation
commit to a regular amount each month. If 60 new donors gave £50 per month by gift
aid we could reach our target.
If every member of the envelope scheme/standing orders
increased their giving by 20%that would provide an additional £5.150 towards our
target.
If 100 people made a one- off annual gift-aided donation of £100 that would
amount to a total of £12,820 including reclaimed tax.
How can you help?

order through your bank.
